After a submission by NARRA for urgent safety repairs and maintenance of the Bus Shelter on Birrells Road (near Lake Victoria Road intersection), Newlands Arm, East Gippsland Shire Council (Council), determined the substantial repairs were uneconomic and a full replacement of the bus shelter was warranted.

Council removed the existing bus shelter, provided replacement stormwater piping, a new concrete pad and a new modern contemporary bus shelter structure was installed.
