Everyone is invited to a second free Fire Ready Information Session presented by the Country Fire Authority. It will be held on Saturday, 18th January 2020 @ 10:30am at the Newlands Arm Community Centre, 25 Meridian Way.

You are invited to a free Fire Ready Information Session conducted by the Country Fire Authority, at the Newlands Arm Community Centre, this Saturday, 23rd November 2019 @ 10:30am. The invitation is not only for Newlands Arm residents but anyone who is interested in attending.
29th October 2019: Newlands Arm: Australia Day Weekend 2020
We are currently working on the third Newlands Arm community day hosted by NARRA on the Australia Day weekend at the Community Centre. The Management Committee is to review the options for the event at its next meeting, including whether to hold the event on the actual day (Sunday, 26th January 2020) or on the substitute day being the gazetted public holiday (Monday, 27th January 2020). 29th October 2019: Garage Sale Treasure Hunt 2019 – Summary
On Sunday, 20th October 2019, the Newlands Arm Residents and Ratepayers Association Inc held its eighth Garage Sale Treasure Hunt.
We had 41 register to participate in the Garage Sale Treasure Hunt and there were fifteen stall holders at the Community Centre. Registrants were charged $15.00 to participate and for this we provided a Garage Sale Sign with a Stand and balloons, produced a Map and List of Garage Sales and a brief description of the articles and wares on sale at each destination. The stall holders at the Community Centre were not charged a fee this year to encourage participants.
NARRA organised print and radio advertising plus signage to promote the event. We had a strong attendance with 230 map-lists sold, and numerous people chose to tour the Arm without a map! We have had very positive reports and we intend to make the event even better next year, adding involvement for children. The surplus after expenses came to $563.00. The Management Committee has decided to park these funds, add to them over time and then allocate the funds towards a tangible project for the Newlands Arm community.
25th September 2019: NARRA Facebook Page
We now have a dedicated Facebook Page @narrainc. Our FB Page is for community announcements and coming events from NARRA. Newlands Arm is already well catered for with two community Facebook Groups. Each Group has a specific focus and our FB Page will not overlap any of the existing functions.
