The 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held at the Newlands Arm Community Centre on Saturday, 26th February 2022, with 43 members and 5 guests attending.
George Neophytou, President, gave a very comprehensive Annual Report which comprised three parts.
Part One – report on the activities of the Association, grant submission applications, including the current proposal for an infrastructure grant of $50,000, requests for funding to undertake renovations and improvements to the Centre, outline of successful grant monies received that enabled acoustic treatment of the hall area at the Centre and upgrade to the External Meeting Room used by the Newlands Arm Men’s Social Club, numerous building upgrades, including future upgrades under the Community Resilience and Development Programme and details of other initiatives for the benefit of Newlands Arm residents.
Part Two – address incorrect and mis-information spread in the community by a minority segment.
Part Three – explanation of the need to correct an error in our Constitution following amendments passed by the Special Resolution at the 2020 AGM. A Special General Meeting is to be held as soon as practicable for this purpose.
