The purposes of our Association are:
- To represent the residents and ratepayers of Newlands Arm to provide a forum for members and residents to discuss and develop ideas on matters of mutual interests, social, environmental, civic and economic interests that will be for the benefit of Newlands Arm residents, aged young, middle, or mature.
- to press for the provision of, improvements in, the local amenities and facilities for the benefits of our community.
- to manage and maintain, by agreement with the East Gippsland Shire, the Newlands Arm Community Centre for the benefits of the community.
- to carry out any on-ground or projects that will benefit the community at the Community Centre (Hall) and Dawsons Cove.
- to foster a community spirit amongst and within the community and to carry out such Charitable or Philanthropic activities consistent with this purpose.
- to carry out such functions, activities and events including fund-raising, as may be considered appropriate to facilitate achievement of, and be consistent with, purposes 1 to 6 inclusive, that are for the benefit of our community.

The Newlands Arm Residents and Ratepayers Association (NARRA) operates under a formal constitution that outlines our purpose, structure, and governance. We are an incorporated association, providing a framework for transparency and accountability.
